However, the relevant costs of the skip hire and any associated fees would remain your responsibility.

Property clearance is all we do, and with years of experience in property clearance we have developed a keen sense for what is disposable and what needs to be retained. We don’t operate skipping style service; rather we filter the contents of the house in an appropriate and efficient manner, retaining reusable, resalable and sentimental items along the way.

At the end of the property clearance we will usually ask the customer to come along and assess the items with us and decide what items they may wish to retain. The remaining items will either be sold, send to charity or disposed of appropriately (for example important legal documents will be shredded).

What will happen to all of my old clothes etc after the house clearance?

On a full house clearance, we clear the entire house, including all clothes, shoes, bedding, ornaments etc. Any items such as old clothes and blankets which we believe are reusable are sent to charities. We then recycle as much of the remaining waste as possible.

I have recently purchased a property which has been neglected and is dirty and insanitary. Can House Clearance London deal a property clearance like this?

YES. House Clearance London are experienced in dealing with properties in a state of disrepair and those which are insanitary and/or contain waste from vermin etc. We can provide a cleaning service as part of the property clearance. We clean all ceramics such as the toilet, sink and bath tub, the wood work, kitchen cupboards & work tops, rub down all skirting, doors and window sills. House Clearance London will supply all of the required cleaning appliances and materials to carry out the work. We can also carry out general "tidy up" of the rest of the house, including the garden and sheds. When we complete the house clearance the property will be fit for immediate transfer.

Do I need to be available at the time when the house clearance is being carried out to oversee the work?

NO. We can carry out the house clearance independently; you do not need to be on site at the time of the house clearance. If, on the other hand, you feel that you would like to oversee the work, we would be more than happy to undertake the house clearance in your presence.

If you don’t want to be involved in the house clearance, you don’t even need to be there to hand us the keys, you can either arrange for us to pick the keys up from you and drop them back once the house clearance is complete or you can simply post the keys to us (by recorded mail) and we will post them back to you once the house clearance is complete.

We can also deal directly with your solicitor, estate agent or relevant third party (including a neighbour) and arrange to pick the keys up from them and return them when the job is finished. We will try to be as flexible as possible in order to accommodate your needs.
